Summary
The nonpartisan Center for Cyclone Civics is seeking a qualified Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to its department and team of professionals.
The nonpartisan Center for Cyclone Civics provides opportunities for education and research on civic education and free speech. It is housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and supports research by both on- and off-campus partners on topics related to free expression and civics.
Example of Duties• Conducts basic research, gathers data, and prepares reports.• Arranges calls and schedules meetings.
• Updates website content. • Assists with making basic travel reservations and itineraries.• Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.• Types correspondence, reports, or other documents.• Edits documents for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.Level Guidelines• Entry level position acquiring job skills and learning standard operating procedures and policies to complete tasks• Works under relatively close supervision and receives guidance on new work assignments• Works on assignments which are routine in nature requiring limited judgment• Refers difficult or less routine issues to supervisor or higher-level staff for assistance• May provide guidance to students
This is a part-time position (20 hours per week). Workdays and hours are flexible within a Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm schedule. The position is benefits-eligible and has the potential to increase to 40 hours per week depending on funding.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
