    Plant Controller

     

    A client of ours is looking for a Plant Controller for a contract role. This role is critical in driving financial accuracy, operational insight, and strong internal controls within a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on financial leader with deep manufacturing expertise and a strong command of cost accounting.

     

    Responsibilities of Plant Controller

     

    + Lead and manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial results

    + Prepare, analyze, and present financial reporting for plant leadership and corporate teams

    + Oversee all aspects of cost accounting, including variance analysis, standard costing, and inventory valuation

    + Partner with operations to provide financial insight on production performance, cost drivers, and process efficiency

    + Maintain strong controllership and internal controls within the plant environment

    + Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning activities

    + Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements

    + Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting

    Requirements

    Skills/Qualifications of Plant Controller

     

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred)

    + Manufacturing experience is a MUST

    + 5+ years of experience in plant accounting, cost accounting, or financial controllership

    + Strong understanding of cost structures, inventory processes, and production workflows

    + Proven ability to manage month-end close and financial reporting in a manufacturing setting

    + Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability

    + Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
