    Description

    We are looking for a dedicated Trademark Legal Assistant to join a boutique law firm in Northern, VA. In this role, you will provide essential support for trademark-related tasks, ensuring accurate and timely management of filings and deadlines. This is a fully remote position but must be commutable to Alexandria, VA for occasional in office meetings. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills and experience handling intellectual property matters.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and manage trademark-related calendars to ensure all deadlines are met.

    • Prepare and file trademark applications, renewals, and other necessary documents with the USPTO.

    • Conduct USPTO searches and assist with trademark prosecution processes.

    • Handle e-filing tasks efficiently and ensure compliance with procedural requirements.

    • Monitor and update the docketing system to track trademark applications and filings.

    • Support billing processes by preparing and maintaining accurate records.

    • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to intellectual property matters.

    • Communicate with clients regarding trademark procedures and requirements.

    • Collaborate with attorneys to ensure smooth execution of trademark filing strategies.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in trademark prosecution and intellectual property matters.

    • Proficiency in managing calendars and meeting deadlines.

    • Strong knowledge of USPTO filing systems and procedures.

    • Familiarity with docketing systems and e-filing processes.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to manage billing and maintain accurate financial records.

    • Effective communication skills for client and team interactions.

    • Prior experience in a legal assistant role or similar position.
