Description We are looking for a skilled Attorney with expertise in civil litigation to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex wrongful death and personal injury cases, focusing on legal research, drafting motions, and discovery processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a meticulous approach to handling sensitive legal matters.

Responsibilities: • Conduct in-depth legal research to support case strategies and arguments. • Draft motions, including motions in limine, to address evidentiary challenges in federal court. • Analyze medical records and laboratory reports to assess chain of custody and admissibility issues. • Collaborate on wrongful death and trucking-related civil cases, providing detailed legal insight. • Review and interpret evidence, such as trace medications or alcohol levels, to build compelling arguments. • Prepare briefs and other legal documents that align with case objectives. • Manage discovery processes, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and timelines. • Apply knowledge of personal injury law to develop effective litigation strategies. • Work closely with counsel to address complex legal questions and case-specific challenges

The pay range for this position is 50 to 75. Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Must have at least 3 years of experience in civil litigation.

• Licensed attorney in good standing; licensure in any state is acceptable.

• Proficiency in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

• Strong expertise in legal research and discovery processes.

• Familiarity with wrongful death claims and personal injury law.

• Ability to analyze medical records and laboratory reports for evidentiary purposes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
