Description

Our client, a well-established construction and field services company, is searching for a Billing Specialist who loves variety, complexity, and project-driven workflows. In this role, you’ll manage everything from progress billing to job costing to compliance documentation. This position requires someone who thrives in an environment where no two invoices look the same and where accuracy is everything. You’ll be working closely with project coordinators, field supervisors, and clients to ensure billing aligns with schedule-of-values, labor hours, materials, equipment usage, and approved change orders.

Responsibilities:

+ Prepare accurate progress billings, T& M invoices, and final invoices based on project phase completion

+ Review certified payroll reports, equipment logs, and project notes for billing accuracy

+ Coordinate and submit required paperwork including lien releases, W-9s, insurance documents, and compliance forms

+ Maintain job cost breakdowns and verify that costs are billed to correct phases or cost codes

+ Track subcontractor billing, retention amounts, and related supporting documents

+ Communicate with project managers to confirm labor hours, materials, and change orders

+ Support month-end close processes including revenue accruals and reconciliations

+ Assist with contract setup and ensure billing aligns with contract terms

Requirements

+ 3+ years of billing experience in construction

+ Strong understanding of job cost systems, retention billing, and compliance documentation

+ High attention to detail and ability to work with complex billing structures

+ Comfortable working with field teams and project managers
