    Position Summary:

    The MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, supplies, and services required for the maintenance and operation of facilities and equipment. This role ensures timely availability of quality products at competitive prices while maintaining compliance with company policies and supplier agreements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Procurement & Sourcing:

    + Identify and source MRO materials, tools, and services to support plant operations and maintenance.

    + Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.

    + Negotiation & Cost Management:

    + Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.

    + Monitor market trends and implement cost-saving initiatives.

    + Inventory & Supply Management:

    + Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.

    + Ensure timely replenishment of critical spare parts and consumables.

    + Compliance & Documentation:

    + Maintain accurate purchase records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

    + Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.

    + Supplier Performance:

    + Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and service.

    + Resolve issues related to delayed shipments, quality discrepancies, or invoicing.

    Qualifications:

    + Education:

    + Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

    + Experience:

    + 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in MRO or industrial environment.

    + Skills:

    + Strong negotiation and communication skills.

    + Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Knowledge of procurement best practices and inventory management.

    This is a Contract position based out of Stoughton, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
