    Scope of Position:

    Assist the Warehouse Lead and Supervisor in any way possible to make the work of the warehouse run smoothly and efficiently.

     

    This position is second shift, 5 P.M. to 2 A.M. This position receives a second shift pay premium.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Timely & accurate unloading/loading of trucks.

    + Accurate weighing and dimensioning of freight.

    + Operation of stand-up and sit-down forklifts (electric & gas)

    + Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.

    + Accurate labeling of freight, zero cross-labels.

    + Proper putting away, picking, & staging freight, all freight must be put away into a location & accounted for (PUT’s & LDD)

    + Filling out documentation as trained.

    + Be able to identify and match numbers and country codes

    + Ability to interact with office to meet customer service standards.

    + Contribute to maintain good relationships with customers, zero mis-ships, cross labels or damage to customer freight.

    + Compliance to all ITAR, DG and other compliance rules and processes.

    + Contributing to ensure a clean and safe warehouse environment, including Temperature Controlled Room.

    + May check in drivers in the ProxyClick system and verify their information (if trained to do so).

    + Understand department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

    Personal Development:

    + Meets company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee.

    + Attend training classes and completes mandatory training when required.

    + High School Diploma

    + Forklift Certification and be able to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.

    + Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

    + Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
