    Job Description

    Finger Lakes Health is seeking a Central Sterile Processing Tech to join our team, working full-time, at Geneva General Hospital.

    + POSITION SUMMARY:

    + Under the leadership of the Surgical Services Nurse Manager, demonstrates competency in identification , decontamination, processing and sterilization of surgical instruments. Has a thorough understanding of processing and sterilization of surgical instruments. Has a thorough understanding of processing equipment, including but not limited to, sterilizers, washer decontaminators and ultra sonic cleaner following a detailed orientation.

    + QUALIFICATIONS:

    + EDUCATION:

    + Minimum:

    + High School education or equivalent.

    + Preferred:

    + Certification as Central Sterile Technician.

    + LICENSE:

    + PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

    + Minimum:

    + Central Sterile Technician certification requirement within 12 months of hire.

    + WORK EXPERIENCE:

    + Minimum:

    + Previous experience in sterile processing.

    + SKILLS:

    + Minimum:

    + Conscientious regard for technical and minute procedures.

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Computer literacy.

     

    Salary Range: $21.00-$23.49 based on years of experience.
