    **Job Title:** 2 nd Shift Process Technician (Injection Molding)

    **Location:** Chattanooga, TN

    **Status of Hire:** full-time, direct hire, hourly non-exempt

    **Salary Range:** $28.66/ hour +$1.00 for shift premium

    **How many:** 1 opening

    **Shift(s):** 2nd shift (2pm-12am) plus overtime as needed

    **Reports to:** Injection Supervisor

    Objective:

    To ensure all production requirements are achieved in terms of delivery of correct part quality and volume, to ensure that all processes are running to the correct parameters, and to have a technical ability with regards to injection molding process in order to make process adjustments that maintain quality.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain part quality per specification for the product both internally and by the end customer, and ensure all injection processes are running to correct parameters; manage all production changes according to schedule

    • Conduct tool changes with support of team members and carry out tasks as required during a mold change including changing of EOAT (end of arm tooling)

    • Run Injection Molding production cell as needed and carry out trouble shooting, process parameter adjustments, and perform root cause analysis to validate parameter adjustments

    • Operate Kuka KRC4 robot including program adjustments to maintain accuracy of degate

    • Carry out level 1 Preventive Maintenance on mold tools at start up; carry out Preventive Maintenance tasks on EOAT and IMM as required

    • Be responsible for material feed system operation and 5s, including the use of regrind

    • Report issues related to process, mold, EOAT or robot cell to Senior Process technician and support Injection Team Leader with regards to injection operations

    • Participate in Continuous Improvement projects and activities

    • Validate part quality in line with “First Piece Approval Process” (FPA) and in process validation

    • Monitor production schedule to ensure that parts are available for the Paint Departments and that assembly has parts needed for paint

    • Report any safety or performance issues to Injection Team leader or Sr Process Technician

    • Maintain schedule “job creation” in Mattec, maintain reporting via Mattec of down time, scrap and production schedule

    • Lead Kaizen, 5s and other CI related workshops as required

    • Monitor key process parameters to ensure production meets quality requirements

    • Participate in mold trials as required, participate in QC activities, ensure targets of OEE, SMED, Scrap and CNQ are met

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in injection mold machine processing, history of safely performing mold/tool changes (high tonnage with use of overhead crane and safety harness), ideally in the automotive industry

    • Good mechanical troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose mechanical or electrical issues and take a logical approach to solving problems

    • Good interpersonal skills, communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to work independently

    • Computer skills (Microsoft office)

    • Ability to operate IMM and associated production cell
