The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
This role will be based in Sunnyvale or Mountain View, CA.
We are looking for a _Director of Workplace Change Management_ to join our team responsible to lead and operationalize our Relationship Workplace strategy across LinkedIn.
At its core, the Relationship Workplace represents a transformation of our traditional offices into dynamic, AI-first environments that accelerate execution and foster innovation. This strategy aligns with how our R&D organization is evolving into smaller, cross-functional pods of 4–8 employees operating like internal startups with clear deliverables and broad ownership. To help these pods fully leverage our new environments, we must guide them through a comprehensive change management program that include the following:
+ A clear understanding of the overall strategy and design intent
+ Workflow optimization and behavioral change enablement
+ Technology adoption and integration
+ Optimal use cases across the different spaces, furniture, and technology solutions
Equally important is ongoing engagement before, during, and after transitioning into these new environments ensuring that we continuously gather real-time feedback and iterate our solutions proactively to enhance both performance and employee experience.
_Responsibilities_
The Director of Workplace Change Management will oversee and have accountability for the following:
Define the Change Strategy and Framework
+ Develop a comprehensive change management strategy aligned with the Relationship Workplace vision, ensuring consistency across global sites while adapting to local cultural and business contexts, starting with our 1030 Maude Project in Sunnyvale California
Drive Leadership and Stakeholder Alignment
+ Engage and equip executives, site leads, and people managers with the narratives and tools to champion change and model the desired behaviors across all functions.
Design and Lead Employee Experience Journeys
+ Craft the end-to-end experience for employees transitioning to AI-first environments (e.g. 1030 Maude Sunnyvale California) ensuring clarity, expectation, and consistent engagement during shifts in ways of working.
Develop Communication and Engagement Plans
+ In partnership with Corp Comms, build and execute compelling multi-channel communication strategies that make the “why,” “what,” and “how” of the Relationship Workplace clear and inspiring.
Establish and Consistently Measure KPIs and Impact
+ Define, track, and continuously refine key performance indicators such as adoption, engagement, sentiment, utilization, and relevant performance impact
Establish Change Management Playbooks and Toolkits
+ Create scalable templates, guides, and playbooks to enable site and project teams to implement change management practices consistently across our global portfolio
Foster a Culture of Continuous Learning and Agility
+ Consistently lead lesson learned sessions to understand what’s working and identity areas for improvement, with the end goal of continuously evolving our change management capability.
Provide Leadership for Change Management Team
+ Lead and mentor high performing team to ensure alignment to strategy, consistency in execution, and high-quality delivery across all workplace transformation initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
+ 8+ years of senior leadership experience managing large cross-functional programs or enterprise transformations
+ 6+ years leading multi-year change portfolios not just individual projects
+ 15+ years in a related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Communications, Architecture, Technology, Design, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master's degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration (MBA), Business, Organizational Psychology, Project Management, or related field
+ 12+ years in project/program management or a directly related field.
+ Professional license in area of expertise (e.g., Prosci/ACMP, PMP/PgMP, Design Thinking, Lean Six Sigma, interior design).

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $161,000 to $262,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
