    Purpose

     

    Position responsible for customer service field activities and distribution systems and facilities applicable, Performs such work in accordance with Company, regulatory and safety procedures

    Accountabilities

    Operations:

    + Utility Tech Responsibilities - Performs Reads & Re-read order of residential, commercial and industrial gas meters. Records readings for billing purposes. Observes and reports all abnormal, dangerous and/or damaged conditions pertaining to gas meters and adjacent areas.

    + Disconnects, Paint Meters, Service and Construction Helper, Atmospheric Corrosion Survey & remedial action. Complete all safety related training, Change Index and meter glass, Complete electronic orders & Locate (Damage Prevention. Perform other related duties as assigned.

    + ALL Apprentice Service Tech responsibilities

    + Installing, Maintain, Replacing and Remove meters and regulators

    + Residential and small commercial service activation

    + Replacing service valves, Minor appliance repair and adjustments

    Education and Experience

    + Highschool or GED

    + 0 to 2 years experience
