    The Program Manager, Custodial Services is responsible for the tactical execution, oversight, and performance of Business Services’ custodial contracts. This role ensures successful delivery of contract requirements, adherence to timelines, and compliance with organizational, safety, and client standards. The Program Manager leads contract teams, manages resources, and drives continuous improvement to ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction.

    Your Typical Day

     

    Project Management

     

    + Develop detailed project plans for new and existing contracts, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.

    + Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks or issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time, on-budget performance.

    + Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve milestones and contract expectations.

    + Track and report project performance using established KPIs and dashboards; prepare status updates for leadership and stakeholders.

     

    Contract Management

     

    + Partner with the Operations Manager on contract management, strategic planning, and negotiation processes.

    + Manage the full life cycle of service contracts, including initiation, execution, compliance, evaluation, and closeout.

    + Ensure all contract requirements are met, including staffing, training, safety, and reporting obligations.

    + Maintain accurate and organized documentation for all contracts, including compliance records, invoicing, and backup reporting.

    + Serve as the primary liaison for contract employers, internal teams, and external partners to resolve concerns and ensure satisfaction.

    + Prepare and submit purchase requisitions for supplies and equipment with appropriate coding and authorization.

     

    Staffing & Team Leadership

     

    + Recruit, hire, train, and supervise contract staff and program participants.

    + Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action when necessary.

    + Develop staffing plans aligned with contract budgets and operational needs.

    + Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across all service sites.

     

    Operational Excellence

     

    + Ensure compliance with OSHA and all safety regulations at contract sites.

    + Conduct regular site audits and safety inspections; implement corrective and preventive measures as needed.

    + Support strategic planning and budgeting activities for Business Services operations.

    + Lead or participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, or additional duties as assigned.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    + Overtime and weekend schedules may be required.

    + Must be available via phone 24/7.

    + Ability to work in various conditions including cold, heat, dusty, damp, dark, indoor/outdoor environments.

    + Noise levels may vary based on worksite.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    + Regular sitting, standing, walking.

    + Frequent pushing, pulling, stretching, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and bending.

    + Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

     

    What You’ll Need

     

    + High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.

    + Minimum 3 years of project management experience and 3+ years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment.

    + Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively at all levels.

    + Ability to train, coach, and develop team members.

    + Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to execute tasks independently and meet deadlines.

    + Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.

    + Flexible schedule with availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    + Willingness to respond to texts, emails, and calls during evening and weekend hours.

    + Must meet all required government background checks or clearances.

    + Valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy required.
