    Department Details

    Join a critical component of healthcare that directly supports surgical excellence. This role ensures the right supplies and implants are available for orthopedic surgery in a clean, controlled environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Manage inventory of surgical supplies and implants for orthopedic procedures.

     

    Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.

     

    Collaborate with surgical teams to anticipate case needs and prevent delays.

     

    Document processes and write clear, detailed SOPs for inventory workflows.

     

    Uphold strict standards for cleanliness and compliance (scrub attire required).

    Qualifications:

    Experience in inventory management (preferably in healthcare or surgical setting).

     

    Highly organized and detail-oriented.

     

    Strong written communication skills for SOP development.

     

    Accountability and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

    Job Summary

    Responsible for coordination of activities related to the acquisition of supplies and equipment utilized in the assigned clinical area. Order and receive products in and out of the general supply locations. Special order items for specific cases. Maintain and track tissue logs as mandated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), The Joint Commission (TJC) and internal specifications. Primary contact for all aspects of the electronic inventory system with particular focus on management of Physician Preference Items (PPI) products. Maintain proper inventory levels in surgery, locate and monitor chart audits, reorder by supply and pay the invoices, and follow-up on usage requirements. Depending on location, may be responsible to draft charges on supplies. Responsible for the tracking of equipment and supply recalls, the pulling of recalled stock, the notification of recalls to end-users and the notification of recalls to the supply chain group. Monitor and track tissue storage equipment, to include the temperature, humidity and outages in refrigerators and freezers using TempTrax and/or similar devices. Work with various supply chain hardware and software applications as applicable. May be required to represent surgeons on surgical value analysis committees.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare related field preferred, or six to eight years of equivalent work experience with at least two years of clinical, financial, inventory or business operations experience.
