Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – School Setting
Start Date: December 1, 2025
Contract Length: 25 weeks
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (AM shift)
Setting: In-person only
Position Overview
Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will provide occupational therapy services to students in a school setting. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, conducting standardized assessments, collecting data, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Minimum Requirements
+ Current California COTA license
+ Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
+ Minimum 1 year of experience as a COTA (school experience preferred)
+ Pediatric experience strongly preferred
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as required)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
Additional Details
+ Openings: 2 positions
+ One serving preschool students at a single site
+ One serving elementary students across 2–3 sites
+ Caseload: TBD
+ Pay Rates:
+ Local Pay Rate: $55/hr
+ Travel Weekly Pay: $2,600

+ Deliver occupational therapy services under OT supervision
+ Implement individualized treatment plans
+ Document progress and maintain compliance with professional standards
