We’re looking for a Statewide Program Manager 2 to join the SSD Administration —a chief executive official for instructional services serving as primary advisory to the Superintendent of SSD on instructional and non-academic matters exercising broad independent judgement in establishing educational governance and statewide education service agency compliance.

Minimum Qualifications
Eight years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating administrative programs, operational programs, or special projects or initiatives within a public or private sector organization; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus five years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating administrative programs, operational programs, or special projects or initiatives within a public or private sector organization; OR
A bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating administrative programs, operational programs, or special projects or initiatives within a public or private sector organization; OR
An advanced degree, or a Juris Doctorate, plus four years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating administrative programs, operational programs, or special projects or initiatives within a public or private sector organization.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
The Statewide Program Manager 2 - Academics provides the highest level of executive leadership for all instructional and academic operations across the Special School District (SSD). Serve as the district’s primary authority on instructional quality, student learning outcomes, and academic performance, ensuring all academic programs are aligned with state and federal laws, specialized student needs, and the mission of SSD.
This position advises the Superintendent and School Board on academic initiatives, student achievement trends, and districtwide improvement strategies that advance learning outcomes for students who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind, Visually Impaired, and those with multiple exceptionalities.
This role will provide executive oversight and high-level supervision to all district academic and school support leaders, including the Chief Academic Officer (CAO); Principals of LSD, LSVI, and Special School Programs (SSP); Supervisor of Accountability & Assessment; Supervisor of Curriculum & Instruction; and Supervisor of Child Welfare & Attendance.
Oversees all statewide and district assessment programs, testing schedules, and accountability reporting to ensure full compliance with state and federal laws. Directs accurate and timely data collection, analysis, and dissemination to support continuous improvement; develops district performance metrics, dashboards, and monitoring tools; and use data-driven insights to inform instructional decisions and school improvement planning.
Provides executive-level operational guidance to principals and academic leaders across SSD, and advises Superintendent on school operations, instructional quality, staffing, scheduling, student support frameworks, disciplinary systems, and program alignment to ensure cohesive and effective service delivery across academic, residential, and related support services such as child welfare and medical and wellness supports for students.

Work Schedule:Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Compensation: This job title is assigned at pay level AS-624 - Annual Minimum $79,019 and Annual Maximum $155,043.
