Summary: Under the general direction of the Manager, Laboratory Services is responsible for the delivery of quality, cost-effective laboratory services at CharterCARE Health Partners in compliance with all regulatory and licensing standards. Assists in developing standards for delivery of services, scope, and evaluation of standards. The Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a Specialty Area implements and evaluates the plan which ensures the delivery of high-quality testing.

Education: BS, MLS (ASCP), or AS, MLT (ASCP)

Licensure: None

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of related clinical experience is required. Relevant managerial experience preferred. Proficient in the use of various software applications is required.

Skills and Abilities:

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements : Lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as files, books, etc. Hand/eye coordination, physical dexterity, and fine motor skills. Has the ability to move freely and safely about the laboratory. Perform moderately taxing continuous physical work, often requiring prolong sitting or standing over several hours.
