+ The Bulk Receiver inspects the seals on all trailer and hose storage compartment openings. All seals shall be intact with the numbers documented on the bill of lading. If for any reason a seal is missing or the number does not match what is on the bill of lading, the trailer shall be rejected.

+ + The trailer shall also be inspected for cleanliness. The exterior is visually inspected with excessive soiling noted on the Incoming Bulk Carrier Inspection Report (0900.001.002-41F). The interior of the trailer is inspected when the hatch is opened to sample. The lid and gasket of the hatch are visually inspected for cleanliness with any mold or soiling noted. The sample is forwarded to the lab for acceptance.

+ A wash ticket for the trailer must be received with the incoming bulk ingredient. Every trailer carrying bulk ingredient must show proof that the trailer was washed within 21 days and recorded on the Incoming Bulk Carrier Inspection Report (0900.001.002-41F).

+ Prior to unloading, it is a requirement to place a containment tarp under the hose connection, at the unloading point on the truck. This is to capture any flour spillage from the connecting and or disconnecting process. Any material captured must be properly disposed.

+ When the lab has approved the material, the Bulk Receiver unlocks the hose cap from the hose and attaches the hose along with the in-line screen to the discharge tube of the trailer. The in-line screen is checked prior to connection to make sure that it has no holes and is clean. The proper connections are made to pump the material into the designated storage bin. All bulk flours are to be entoleted. There is no entoleter in breadcrumb. The starch in cracker meal always gets entoleted. Soy oil is not entoleted.

+ If during the unloading process, flour is observed leaking from either the hose, the flour trailer, the bin being loaded into or the flex kleen, the unloading must stop immediately regardless of the amount left to be unloaded. The spillage must be immediately contained, cleaned up and properly disposed. The point of leakage must be corrected prior to continuation of the unloading process. If an incident does occur, it must be reported immediately to the shift supervisor if the spillage is over 500 lbs. and an incident report must be completed. Supervisor is to notify the Safety Manager or Production Manager any time a leak is identified during the unloading process.

+ Upon completion of the pumping, the in-line screen (dry material or soy oil in-line filter screen) is examined for any foreign material, the hose cap is placed on the hose and locked. Any foreign material found on the screen is documented on the Incoming Bulk Carrier Inspection report (0900.001.002-41F) and is forwarded to the HACCP clerk or HACCP Coordinator for investigation. The storage bin is locked out to prevent use until the investigation is complete.

+ Bulk bin measurements will be conducted at the same time each day. The bin measurement has to be at the same time the bin count report is ran in the system. This should happen around 400 a.m. each day. Give +/- time for this to be done, for example 400 am +/- 1 hour.
