+ Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s Degree in higher education administration, Social Work, or related field.
+ At least one (1) year of experience leading crisis and emergency response efforts in a residential community.
+ Experience with case management in a higher education setting involving student conduct, student care, or crisis intervention
+ Experience managing residential communities.
Job Description
The Case Manager Coordinator will work to support the unit and aid in case management for student conduct and care within the Department of Housing and Residential Life ( HRL ). The main role of this position is to provide administrative support to the Assistant Director for Student Conduct and Community Standards with the implementation of the student conduct and care process. The Case Manager will be responsible for the review of conduct cases, assignment of charges, case assignments, and assist with departmental Clery reporting functions. The Case Manager will allow Housing & Residential Life to streamline the departmental conduct and care process to provide consistency with charges and outreach. The Case Manager will bring the HRL conduct process to industry standards. The Case Manager will review, assign, audit, and report key trends or time-sensitive information as needed to the Assistant Director, Director, and Executive Director for Housing & Residential Life.
Job Duties
CASE MANAGEMENT (50%)
+ Intake and review incident reports submitted through the Residential Life Incident Report form for student of concern and student conduct criteria using departmental and campus resources.
+ Process incident reports into Maxient cases and assign charges and/or student of concern follow-up within the appropriate timeline.
+ Assign timelines, progress-oriented tasks, and hearing officers to individual case files based on appropriate guidelines and process benchmarks.
+ Ensuring staff are imputing case notes and entering notes with a sense of urgency for a responsive approach to the student process.
+ Provide direct guidance, development, and support to in-community staff regarding student of concern cases and response.
+ Oversee the creation of mediation resources in partnership with the Assistant Director for Student Conduct
DATABASE ADMINISTRATION (20%)
+ Provide quality assurance for Maxient user resources including resource links, appropriate charges, analytic tags, letter templates, routing rules, etc.
+ Assign appropriate tags, workflow indicators, and milestones within Maxient to ensure ease of access for measurable data.
+ Utilize Maxient resources and Maxient help forums to assist the Assistant Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards in system upkeep and application of regular system improvements.
+ Assist in the account maintenance of staff members from the system as they onboard and leave the Residence Director position.
DATA MANAGEMENT AND ANALYTICS (15%)
+ Ensure the appropriate tagging, case titling, and data cleaning occurs throughout the entirety of the conduct and care process to ensure easy to access end-of-year data.
+ Analyze reports and pull conduct and care data to identify trends and other valuable quantitative data within the conduct and care process.
+ Assist in the creation and design of monthly, semesterly, and annual reports that represent the scope and impact of the Residential Life conduct process.
+ Assist in escalation of Clery related cases to Assistant Director of Student Conduct and Community Standards.
DEPARTMENTAL AND DIVISIONAL PARTNERSHIPS (15%)
+ Work collaboratively with Residence Director staff to provide assistance with student of concern and student conduct processes within the Department of Housing and Residential Life.
+ Serve as a liaison with campus stakeholders within conduct and care processes such as Dean of Students Office, Title IX, Compliance, Clery, etc.
+ Assist in the implementation and follow-up on cases routed to multiple divisional partners for shared student outreach.
+ Other duties as requested or required, whether or not specifically mentioned within this job description.
