Job Description
Position Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst leads all financial management activities for Pep Boys Puerto Rico. This position functions as the primary finance authority for the market, responsible for financial planning, modeling, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis. The role provides strategic financial insights to support business decisions, identifies risks and opportunities, and ensures operational and financial targets are met. This position partners closely with corporate leadership, acting in a CFO-like capacity to drive financial discipline, profitability, and operational efficiency across all Puerto Rico locations.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead full P&L ownership for all Puerto Rico stores, including analysis of profitability, COGS, and gross margin performance.
+ Develop financial forecasts for revenue, labor, operating expenses, and capital requirements.
+ Build and maintain financial models and KPIs to support data-driven decision making.
+ Prepare executive-level reports and presentations summarizing Puerto Rico financial performance.
+ Partner with HR and Operations to create labor plans, workforce models, and staffing cost forecasts.
+ Lead the annual budgeting process for the Puerto Rico region.
+ Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
+ Serve as the primary financial liaison between Puerto Rico operations and U.S. corporate finance leadership.
Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
+ Minimum 5–7 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in retail or multi-unit operations.
+ Proven experience owning and managing full P&L statements.
+ Strong background in forecasting, budgeting, cost analysis, and operational finance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) – required.
+ Advanced skills in Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.); Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills; experience presenting to senior executives and/or board members.
+ Ability to work independently and think strategically with a business-first mindset.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working on a computer.
+ Ability to operate standard office equipment such as laptop, keyboard, phone, copier, and printer.
+ Must be able to attend in-person meetings and conduct site visits, which may require walking, standing.
+ May occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds (such as files, binders, or presentation materials).
