We are seeking Spot Welding Operator for our Garden Grove, CA Plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Operates welding machine in order to join metal spans in metal fabrication process

+ May set up and operate machines such as drill presses, punch presses, saws, shears, bending rolls, brakes, grinders, and numerical control equipment to shape and alter metal according to specifications.

+ Follows blueprints, customer specifications, rough sketches, or engineer drawings to shape mend, weld metal accurately.

+ Uses hand and power tools to shape, cut, and smooth metal and to blend seams.

+ May set up and operate soldering and welding equipment.

+ Spot weld milled steel and stainless steel.

+ Square up and weld various shapes of components.

+ Weld both vertical and horizontal planes.

+ Good understanding of set up techniques.

+ Meets agreed upon goals and objectives promptly.

+ Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.

+ Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.

+ Operate a forklift safely.

+ Stacking finished material as it is produced by Mill Operator.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

+ Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.

+ Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Excellent time management skills.

+ Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

+ High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

+ Hi-Lo Certification preferred, will be trained and certified on the hi-lo.

+ (1) year of solid welding experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.

+ Must have reliable transportation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation as you will frequently and repetitively be required to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach to perform work, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and/or sit and reach with hands and arms. May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment. Lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Must wear required hearing and/or eye protection.

2nd Shift - 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday - Friday

3rd Shift - 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM working Sunday - Thursday
