Senior Software Developer for High Availability Cloud Computing

Oracle Data Guard is the industry leader for enterprise data protection and extreme scalability. Data Guard creates and maintains one or more standby databases to protect business data from failures, disasters, human error, and data corruptions. It is one of the key technologies that powers Oracle’s Dedicated Autonomous Database offerings. Oracle Data Guard is also used by on-premises customers spanning business sectors like financial, health care, consumer retail, as well as government agencies around the world.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals, who can solve complex problems under limited supervision. Our projects are driven by our Cloud Computing and customer needs as well as innovative ideas that percolate from the bottom-up as well as top-down. We are looking for talented software engineers who can conceive of innovative ideas, build consensus around them, and deliver solutions in a timely fashion.

The following skills are valued:

+ Proficient in C. Java and SQL proficiency is a plus.

+ Familiar with relational database, operating system, and networking concepts.

+ Firm grasp of concurrent programming theory and practices.

+ Strong software engineering and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Oracle Data Guard team, you will take an active role in the definition and implementation of software solutions that protect our customer's data for both Cloud and on-premises databases. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging Oracle Data Guard software.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
