QA Technician I

Description
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Purpose: Perform precision inspection of production products.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Effectively use calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other mechanical inspection equipment.
• Provide metrology support and assistance to Manufacturing and Engineering.
• Perform set up approval inspections and document as required.
• Perform capability study data collection.
• Perform Gage R&R data collection.
• Perform basic CMM inspections.
• Perform basic gage set up and repair.
• Perform and complete documentation for final audits.
• Coordinate containment of Nonconforming product and reporting.
• Generate Certification of Compliance.
• Certify shipments based on customer returns in conjunction with production.
• Create and maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
• Support and positively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Communicate with supervisor and co-workers in a professional manner.
• Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and Objectives.
• Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
• Perform other various duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or GED
• One year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have a valid driver's license
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge and experience to accurately operate standard measurement equipment
• Ability to read and follow instructions, correspondence and memos
• Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
• Using computer software - Microsoft Office, Outlook, and infopath-type software
Training:
• Reference OJT
Physical Demands
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs, rarely lifting up to 40 lbs
• Ability to stand up to 100% of shift
• Ability to do repetitive movements (i.e. bending, twisting, walking)
