The Manager – Part Out Analytics will support strategic decision-making by analyzing vehicle data, managing vehicle selections and inductions, and cataloging inventory through the dismantling process. This position reports to the Senior Director Part Out Operations and is based in Atlanta, GA.
Starting salary is $90K; commensurate with experience.
What You’ll Do:
+ Build quantitative models for selection of part out candidate vehicles based on data from multiple sources. Collect, clean and validate data pertaining to vehicle condition, rental history, financial criteria, internal maintenance demand and part resale potential; conduct data quality checks
+ Own the weekly/monthly MPR pack (timeliness, accuracy) and KPI automation; publish leading indicator dashboards
+ Manage the vehicle retirement and part out induction process. Initiate retirements, communicate with stakeholders and drive to minimize the cycle time measured from vehicle selection to induction at a part out site
+ Analyze vehicle inductions, part recovery rates and resale performance across multiple recycling suppliers to identify trends, patterns and anomalies
+ Build predictive models and analytical tools for part demanding forecasting and setting fair market values
+ Monitor supplier part out cycle times and load capacity across multiple locations
+ Catalog the warehousing of harvested parts at intake (accurate ID/tagging during dismantle) and initial put-away
+ Present findings in clear and compelling formats. Collaborate with Fleet Management, Finance, Accounting, Technical Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain Management and other stakeholders
+ Provide estimates, set goals, build reporting systems and execute project plans
What We’re Looking For:
+ Bachelor’s degree in data science, business analytics, computer science, automotive technology or related field
+ Five (5) years minimum in data analytics or related field in an industrial or retail analytics environment
+ Must have expert-level technology skills in SQL, Python or R and data visualization platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
+ Proficient with automotive parts inventory systems (e.g. Pinnacle, Hollander, Checkmate) and ERP systems (Oracle experience preferred)
+ Experience with machine learning, AI frameworks and knowledge of business intelligence and ETL processes
+ Must have good financial skills and be familiar with asset management and financial analysis techniques
+ Familiarity with automotive parts databases, vehicle dismantling process and parts grading standards
+ Must be an effective communicator with good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels across multiple functions and organizations
+ Must be process-oriented and a disciple of continuous improvement
+ Must be a problem solver, goal-oriented and flexible with ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations with little oversight
