Pay Rate:
_The pay rate for this job is $21 - $25 / hour*_
What you'll be doing as a Laboratory Technician:
+ Inspect and test raw materials and finished products according to procedures established.
+ Maintaining and calibrating lab instruments.
+ Cleaning and organizing lab glassware.
+ Record and maintain records of quality testing of raw materials and finished products.
+ Maintain sample retains.
+ Participates in efforts to control costs.
+ Follows safety procedures and company policies.
+ Assisting or conducting internal audits as necessary.
+ Assisting with/writing of standard operating procedures (SOP) and forms related to QC, QA, and Manufacturing Operations.
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
+ Act as Safety Committee chair and conduct monthly safety meetings.
+ Assist the Production Manager or General Manager, as needed, during regulatory inspections, following corporate guidelines.
+ Acting on the direction of the General Manager, complete documents/reports for local, state, and federal agencies as related to the customer facility.
+ Submit documents/reports after approval by the General Manager. Includes discharge testing before release into the sewer system, storm water reports, federal EPA reports, hazardous material plans, DEA reports, and cycle counts for DEA

Job requirements:
+ 1-3 years of QC experience in the chemical industry, preferably working in a chemical compounding company with a B.S. degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other related scientific degrees
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and data
+ Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
+ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and co-workers
+ Background check and drug screening required
