    *This position can be filled as a Technical Support Specialist I, II, III, or Senior depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.*

     

    Position can be located near the ETS East Region which is from New Orleans, LA to all of MS Plants

    JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:

    Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing improvement projects, and/or provide diagnostic subject matter expertise to enhance the overall reliability, efficiency, and safety of the plant.

    JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Conduct root cause analysis and prepare reports for management use

    + Provide primary or backup technical support for various plant system and processes

    + Utilize experience, knowledge, and online monitoring systems and tools to analyze, trend, and monitor plant equipment performance data in an effort to improve plant operation

    + Provide technical support to maintenance, outage, and capital projects

    + Technical Lead on specific / complex projects

    + Support equipment problem solving, condition assessments, and represent Entergy during OEM discussions or shop repairs. May engage in the review of diagnostic services (vibration analysis, off-line motor testing, Infra-red, performance testing, vacuum leak-detection, etc.) done by a 3rd party.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Minimum education required of the position:

    + High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience

    + **Desired:**

    + Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or B.S. Degree in Science in a technical field

    Minimum experience required of the position:

    + **Tech Support Specialist I:** 0-2 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred.

    + **Tech Support Specialist II:** 2-4 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred.

    + **Tech Support Specialist III:** 4-6 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred.

    + **Tech Support Specialist Sr:** 6+ years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred.

    Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position:

    + Proficiency in all applications of the Microsoft Toolkit

    + Must possess good computer skills

    + Ability to work independent of direct supervision

    + Good communication skills also required

    + Duties often require call outs and work after normal hours

    + Be able to keep records and reports
