Description:
Hours: Monday - Thursday 9a - 2p or 10a - 3p
We are seeking a detail-oriented and clinically knowledgeable Scheduler to support our Interventional Radiology department. This part-time role is ideal for candidates with a background as an RN, LPN, or EMT who can effectively review clinical documentation and coordinate patient scheduling.
+ Review incoming referrals and clinical documentation to determine appropriate scheduling needs.
+ Coordinate and schedule interventional radiology procedures in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments.
+ Communicate with patients regarding appointment details, preparation instructions, and follow-up requirements.
+ Ensure accurate documentation and timely updates in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
+ Assist with verifying insurance and authorization requirements as need
**Licensure/Certification/Registration:** active licensure in one of the followings is preferred - RN, LPN, EMT; BLS; ACLS
.
**Education:** Associates degree
**C: Experience:** Minimum of 3 years’ experience in related field. Preferred experience in radiology or other procedural areas. Familiarity with interventional radiology procedures and other medical terminology.
**Special Qualifications:** Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in scheduling systems (EPIC preferred). Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
