About the role
The purpose of this position is to manage the Warehouse Operations: shipping/receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment and/or other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Responsible for the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods.
This is a fully onsite role Monday- Friday and we currently have two available openings from 6am-3pm and 9am-6pm.
What you’ll do
+ Accurate receiving and storage of manufacturing components from outside vendors and other client sites.
+ Upload bill of laden, packing list, and other quality documents to a shared location
+ Support the shipment of orders to internal and external client customers.
+ Support the unloading / loading of materials at docks, receiving of materials, storage of material in appropriate storage zones, preparation and shipping to customer orders, order processing in warehouse inventory system, cycle counting.
+ Complete inventory transactions in a timely fashion.
+ Ensure material is appropriately labeled during the receiving process.
+ Bring up receiving challenges to client support staff as appropriate.
+ Provide key customers raw materials and components timely and in full.
+ Maintain learning plan at 100% current.
+ Follow and implement policies and procedures impacting warehouse activities.
+ Follow all safety requirements and procedures. Routinely inspects area for health and safety issues. Assist with implementation of countermeasures from safety incident investigations.
+ Follow all GMP, and other regulatory requirements and participate in quality initiatives and audits.
What you’ll need
+ Shipping, receiving and inventory,
+ Basic proficiency with software applications and SAP system experience nice to have
+ Ability to pick-up / move 40 pound containers
+ Experience operating all types of powered industrial trucks
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Solid understanding of quality and corporate policies
+ Demonstrated excellent judgment and initiative
+ Enthusiastic, positive attitude, flexible and willing to work overtime
+ Proactive and self-motivated to support team initiatives and in solving business problems
+ Ability to perform various tasks at the same time and make decisions regarding prioritization
+ Previous experience with materials handling and inventory management systems.
+ Previous warehouse/logistics experience in a GMP or regulated environment is a plus.
+ Ability to work overtime, weekends, and off shifts
+ This role has opportunity for direct interaction with regulatory agencies during site inspections.
+ Tasks may require handling hazardous materials.
