High School Math Teacher (Temporary)

February 1, 2026 – April 27, 2026

Position Overview Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and flexible Temporary High School Math Teacher to cover a leave from February 1, 2026 through April 27, 2026. The successful candidate will teach Algebra, Geometry, and Applied Geometry (non-Regents) while providing high-quality instruction and maintaining a supportive, engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Deliver engaging mathematics instruction aligned with curriculum and standards.

+ Create lessons that challenge and support diverse learners.

+ Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.

+ Maintain an organized and respectful classroom environment.

+ Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.

+ Collaborate with department colleagues to ensure instructional continuity.

Qualifications

+ Valid state certification in Mathematics (Grades 7–12 or 9–12), or eligibility to obtain certification.

+ Strong classroom management and instructional skills.

+ Ability to support students with varying skill levels.

Work Schedule & Compensation

+ Temporary, full-time position from February 1–April 27.

+ Salary and benefits per district contract and experience.
