Drafting Designer – Continuous Improvement (AutoCAD/Inventor):
**Location:** Springfield, MO
**Job Type:** Full-Time
**Remote:** No, on-site
**Salary:** $40K to $50K based on experience
**Shift:** 1st shift – 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday thru Friday

**Must Have/Required:** Associate’s or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in Drafting, Design Technology, or related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor is required.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Designer to join our Continuous Improvement team. This role focuses on supporting process enhancement initiatives through high-quality design work using AutoCAD, Inventor, and other 3D modeling tools. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with construction and/or production processes and a passion for innovative modular design. This position plays a key role in developing concepts, documentation, and solutions that drive efficiency and excellence across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Assist lead architects and engineers in developing modular design concepts and presentations, applying creativity and innovation to optimize solutions.
+ Prepare detailed drawings, renderings, and visualizations to clearly communicate design intent and support decision-making.
+ Conduct research on modular materials, building systems, production methods, and construction techniques, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.
+ Support the production of modular construction documents with strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring seamless integration of components and systems.
+ Coordinate with modular manufacturers, suppliers, production teams, and contractors to incorporate technical input into design development.
+ Participate in project and process-improvement meetings, providing thoughtful contributions that align with team goals and organizational values.
+ Assist in reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and project documentation, demonstrating accountability and ownership in quality control.
+ Collaborate with clients, engineers, and internal stakeholders to ensure design feasibility, regulatory compliance, and constructability.
+ Stay informed on industry trends, materials, emerging technologies, and modular construction best practices.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field preferred.
+ 3 years, or more, experience in an architectural, engineering, or production environment, with exposure to modular construction or manufacturing processes preferred.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor required; experience with SolidWorks, SketchUp, or related design software, a plus.
+ Understanding of continuous improvement, construction processes, production workflows, building codes, and industry regulations.
+ Excellent communication, visualization, and presentation skills.
+ Strong organizational abilities and effective teamwork skills, with a collaborative and respectful approach.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with ownership, accuracy, and accountability.
