We're seeking a strategic Federal Income Tax Analyst to transform complex tax landscapes into streamlined financial solutions. You'll be at the forefront of analyzing emerging business challenges, developing innovative tax strategies, and supporting Amazon's global financial ecosystem with precision and insight.
Key job responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of tax implications for emerging business issues and technical tax positions
- Develop and manage tax accounting method changes with meticulous documentation
- Research and evaluate the financial impacts of domestic and international transactions
- Coordinate with tax technology teams to enhance process automation and efficiency
- Support tax compliance, reporting, and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Master's degree
- CPA
- Knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and entries

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
