**Rush University Medical Center,** a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of **Transplant Nephrology Advanced Practice Provider.** This APP will deliver safe and timely care to our kidney transplant recipients who require close medical management in the pre- and post-transplant phases of care.

About the division:
+ One fellow Transplant Nephrology APP
+ Two Transplant Nephrologists
+ Transplant nephology fellow/residents
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Five-day, eight-hour work schedule from 8:00am – 5:00pm
+ Primarily outpatient with occasional inpatient responsibilities
+ Reports to the Transplant Service Line Lead APP
+ Deliver advanced practice care to pre- and post-kidney transplant patients in the outpatient transplant clinic.
+ Perform comprehensive assessments, formulate diagnoses, and initiate and manage treatment plans.
+ Manage immunosuppressive therapy, identify and treat complications, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
+ Provide patient and family education around transplantation, medication adherence, lifestyle changes, and follow-up care.
+ Document care in the EMR (Epic) with accuracy and timeliness.
+ Participate in multidisciplinary selection meetings, transplant quality reviews, and protocol development.
+ Engage in clinical research, process improvement initiatives, and program development as desired.
+ Contribute to education of medical students, APPs, and residents through case discussions and clinical mentorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• _Applicants with 1-2 years of previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in transplant, nephrology, critical care, or internal medicine is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered._
• Acute Care Certification preferred for APRN candidates
• _BLS Required_
Position Requirements:
Nurse Practitioner:
+ Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
+ Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
+ Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
Physician Assistant:
+ Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
+ Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program
+ Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
**Pay Range:** $118,670 - $167,000
