Job Title: Mechanical Technician
Job Description
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on rental equipment in the field.
Responsibilities
+ Clean and maintain rental equipment including water pumps, generators, concrete finishing trowels, and more.
+ Investigate and diagnose equipment faults and failures, recommending repair solutions.
+ Perform light repairs on rental and customer-owned equipment.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly shop environment.
+ Pressure wash equipment and ensure it operates safely.
+ Handle part lookups and prepare repair estimates.
+ Take phone calls from customers with rented equipment.
+ Assist in loading and unloading rental equipment.
+ Process rental contracts and invoices.
+ Respond to outside rental service calls as needed.
+ Provide light customer service repairs and resolve rental disputes.
+ Learn and maintain operating procedures for rental equipment.
+ Ensure product availability and encourage rentals.
+ Maintain the wash bay and yard in a neat, clean, and organized manner.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in electrical DC control systems.
+ Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical control systems.
+ Proficiency in ignition and fuel systems, and small engine repairs.
+ Experience with diesel engine starting and running issues.
+ Ability to repair midsized construction equipment, AC generators, and air compressors.
+ Knowledge of pumps, heating systems, and saws.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 3-5 years of small engine knowledge and mechanical ability.
+ Basic computer knowledge.
+ Ability to lift 50 pounds; some heavy lifting required.
+ Courteous and professional customer service skills.
+ Valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier.
+ Ability to read and understand parts diagrams and schematics.
+ Capability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, and reach as needed for repairs.
+ Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Work Environment
Work primarily in a heated and ventilated shop, with some work outdoors on construction sites. Embrace a small company culture with support from other locations. Work alongside experienced technicians for guidance and training. Company-provided uniforms are available. Typical working hours are 8am - 5pm or 7am - 4pm, Monday to Friday, with potential after-hours service calls. Tools are provided, but personal tools are encouraged as a sign of investment in the trade.

This is a Permanent position based out of McFarland, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $56160.00/yr.
