Job Description

As a General Production Worker, you will be involved in the process of handling spools of wire. Your duties include watching spools run through a machine, feeding spools of wire into the machine, and occasionally putting wire onto spools, which may require sitting for an entire shift. This role is repetitive and involves periods of downtime. Additionally, you will be responsible for checking and inspecting parts to ensure their quality and may need to lift up to 50 lbs of billets or bars.

Responsibilities

+ Monitor spools running through a machine.

+ Assist in feeding spools of wire into machinery.

+ Place wire onto spools, potentially sitting for an entire shift.

+ Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met.

+ Lift billets or bars weighing up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

This position is based in an old manufacturing facility that can be hot during the summer and cold in the winter. Proper attire is provided to accommodate these conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Altoona, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
