Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic ensures optimal performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment and machinery. This role involves conducting regular maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in machinery.
+ Implement repairs and modifications to restore equipment functionality.
+ Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
+ Assist in the installation of new manufacturing equipment.
+ Conduct performance tests on machinery to ascertain efficiency.
+ Perform line equipment setups by following setup sheets.
Essential Skills
+ High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
+ 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or a related field (Required)
+ High proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance techniques, safety standards compliance, technical documentation interpretation, hydraulic and electrical systems, time management, problem-solving, mathematical skills, communication, and attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Technical or Vocational Training in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance (Preferred)
+ 1-3 years of experience with hydraulic and electrical systems maintenance (Preferred)
+ Skills in troubleshooting, pneumatics, maintenance technician duties, PLC troubleshooting, industrial schematic interpretation, and repair.

Work Environment
Work within an indoor manufacturing facility that operates on a three-shift schedule. Shifts include 1st (7 am-3 pm), 2nd (3 pm-11 pm), and 3rd (11 pm-7 am). The person will train on the 1st shift for the first month.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
