Job Title: Outbound Associate

Job Description

As an Outbound Professional, also known as a Personal Shopper, you will be responsible for picking and packing grocery items and other goods. You will scan items to ensure order completion and protect the customer's goods. No previous experience is required for this role.

Responsibilities

+ Pick and pack grocery items and other goods accurately.

+ Scan items to complete orders efficiently.

+ Ensure the protection and quality of customer goods.

+ Process items by picking, scanning, and packing them.

+ Adhere to safe food practices specific to the department.

+ Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the department.

+ Uphold high safety, quality, and productivity standards within the distribution warehouse.

+ Audit products for quality assurance.

+ Maintain a team player mentality by assisting colleagues as needed.

Essential Skills

+ Counting and scanning skills are essential.

+ Experience in shipping and receiving is beneficial.

+ Familiarity with inventory management.

+ Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods.

+ Experience with fresh produce handling.

+ Proficiency with scanning equipment.

+ Strong customer service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in receiving, stock, or inventory roles is advantageous.

+ Experience with FDA approved cleaning chemicals is a plus.

+ Ability to stand and walk for 6-10 hours or more.

+ Capable of performing motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.

Work Environment

Work in a state-of-the-art facility with exposure to temperatures ranging from below -10 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing) to 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators). Employees are required to wear oil and slip-resistant shoes and may be exposed to FDA approved cleaning chemicals. The role involves standing, walking, bending, and other physical activities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
