    Job Title: Electromechanical Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Technician with a focus on mechanical assembly, particularly in avionics systems for drones. This role requires a hands-on approach to PCBA assembly and the application of electronic potting, while adhering to strict manufacturing standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly tasks independently from schematics, drawings, and instructions.

    + Assemble and test avionics components including PCB assemblies, cable harnesses, and integrated modules.

    + Apply precision adhesives and bonding techniques.

    + Provide real-time design and assembly feedback to Manufacturing and Quality teams, and resolve build issues.

    + Follow detailed Manufacturing Process Instructions and strict safety procedures.

    + Adapt to aggressive deadlines and shift priorities across multiple projects.

    + Record and update data accurately.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical PCBA assembly experience.

    + Proficiency in using hand/power tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, torque drivers, and calipers.

    + Ability to read and follow basic SOPs and non-technical instructions.

    + Strong soldering skills.

    + Experience with enclosure integration and torque-controlled fastening.

    + Cable and harness routing proficiency.

    + Familiarity with electronic potting processes.

    + Experience with bonding composites such as carbon fiber and epoxies.

    + Ensuring waterproofing and environmental protection.

    + Basic computer skills (MacOS or Microsoft).

    + Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and proactivity.

    + Attention to detail.

    Work Environment

     

    The facility is located in South San Francisco and is divided into four main areas: Front Office, Nest (assembly of recovery, launch systems, and battery devices), Vehicles (drone body assembly and wing structure composite work), and Logistics. Each team consists of 3 to 4 assemblers plus a team lead.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of South San Francisco, CA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
