Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, working in our shop on tanker trucks. The role involves performing routine preventive maintenance on these vehicles, including inspections, running diagnostics, repairing or replacing faulty equipment, and completing work orders.
Responsibilities
+ Perform routine preventive maintenance on tanker trucks.
+ Conduct inspections and run diagnostics on vehicles.
+ Repair or replace any faulty equipment on the trucks.
+ Complete work orders accurately and efficiently.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of maintenance experience.
+ 4 years of experience working on fleet vehicles.
+ Experience with mechanic tasks, trailers, tanks, hoses, conveyors, and maintenance facilities.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostic testing.
+ Familiarity with computer diagnostic software.
+ Welding and diesel engine expertise.
+ Ability to generate and interpret inspection reports.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Welding and fabrication experience on trailers.
+ No disqualifications for mechanics without tanker experience.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of a shop with about 15 employees dedicated to working on tankers and configuring parts. The company is nationwide with around 350 employees. The standard work shift is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with the possibility of varying hours depending on workload. Employees may also be expected to work on Saturdays as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stockton, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
