    Job Title: Carpenter Foreman

    Job Description

    As a Carpenter Foreman, you will work under the direct supervision of site superintendents and will be regularly monitored by ownership. Your primary responsibilities include constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood, metal, plywood, and wallboard using carpenter's hand and power tools. You will work on both the interiors and exteriors of commercial, industrial, institutional, and agricultural buildings. Note that this position does not involve operating equipment, driving vehicles, or handling money. All job sites are uninhabited structures.

    Responsibilities

    + Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures using various materials.

    + Utilize carpenter's hand and power tools effectively.

    + Work on the interiors and exteriors of various building types.

    + Ensure compliance with building codes and standard methods.

    + Read and interpret technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

    + Install materials, equipment, and products to meet specifications.

    + Use mathematics to measure accurately and solve problems.

    + Plan ahead and organize job site materials and activities.

    + Inspect products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

    + Manage resources and time effectively to control costs.

    + Promote safety and adhere to safety policies and procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + Knowledge of building codes and carpentry trade practices.

    + Critical thinking to evaluate alternative solutions.

    + Ability to read and understand technical plans and blueprints.

    + Proficient in installation of materials and equipment.

    + Mathematical skills for accurate measurement and problem-solving.

    + Mechanical knowledge of construction tools and equipment.

    + Planning and organizational skills for job site management.

    + Quality control inspection skills.

    + Resource and time management skills.

    + Knowledge of safety procedures and policies.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with hand tools, drywall, and commercial construction.

    + Expertise in rough and finish carpentry, metal stud framing, and concrete finishing.

    + General labor skills.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This role involves working on commercial construction projects, including multiple buildings such as a distribution center, mechanic/truck shop, and health clinic/pharmacy.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of La Crescent, MN.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $35.00/hr.
