Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance on equipment, determining the type of maintenance needed, and executing various repairs to ensure optimal operation.
Responsibilities
+ Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair.
+ Inspect or test damaged machine parts, mark defective areas, or advise supervisors of repair needs by troubleshooting.
+ Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications.
+ Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specified procedures.
+ Reassemble machines after completing repair or maintenance work.
+ Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and detect problems.
+ Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
+ Work overtime as required.
+ Perform duties safely by identifying hazards, ensuring proper PPE is worn, maintaining a clutter-free work area, and following safety procedures and policies such as LO/TO, Confined Space, Right To Know, and Fall Protection.
+ Report unsafe acts and unsafe working conditions to supervision/management.
+ Ensure food safety/quality policies are followed and report all food safety/quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
+ Ensure a good, safe, wholesome product is produced safely.
Essential Skills
+ Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and repair.
+ Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
+ Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
+ Ability to weld, with a preference for MIG, TIG, ARC, & Oxy/acetylene and SS fabrication.
+ Knowledge of mechanical systems, including chain and gear drives, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
+ Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems and pneumatic systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency in maintenance, mechanic, facilities, conveyors, production equipment, troubleshooting, and PLC troubleshooting.

Work Environment
The role takes place in a food production facility with a 2-2-3 shift schedule, specifically on the night shift from 5:30 pm to 5:00 am. The job involves walking or standing 90% of the time and sitting 10% of the time. It requires pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
