Job Title: Shipping and Receiving

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Shipping and Receiving professional with the ability to operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts. This role involves utilizing forklifts for 40% of the day, using hand and power tools to construct shipping boxes, and employing a tape measure and hand saw for precise wood cutting to package products. Additional responsibilities include loading 3-4 outbound products weekly, unloading inbound materials, inventory management, organizing pallet racks, and properly tagging products. You will also utilize pick sheets, saws, and nail guns to build pallets for shipping products.

Responsibilities

+ Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts.

+ Use hand and power tools to build shipping boxes.

+ Employ tape measures and hand saws to cut wood to size for packaging.

+ Load 3-4 outbound products weekly and unload inbound materials.

+ Manage inventory and organize pallet racks.

+ Properly tag products and utilize pick sheets.

+ Use saws and nail guns to construct pallets for shipping.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with hand and power tools.

+ Shipping experience.

+ Sit-down and stand-up forklift experience.

+ Ability to use a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ International shipping experience.

+ USPS experience.

Work Environment

This role is set in a very clean job shop environment in Munster, IN, spanning approximately 200,000 square feet. The facility offers great lighting and is temperature regulated, ensuring comfort and efficiency. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toed boots, long sleeve shirts, and PPE, emphasizing safety and professionalism.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MUNSTER, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
