Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in the metal plating Industry. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot and repair equipment including motors, pumps, gears, and pneumatics.
+ Perform electrical troubleshooting on systems ranging from 220V to 480V.
+ Follow and execute preventative maintenance schedules.
+ Diagnose and resolve issues in electrical wiring and PLC or automation systems.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
+ Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
+ Strong electrical experience with 220V-480V systems.
+ Mechanical knowledge, particularly with pumps, motors, and pneumatics.
+ Experience in a plating or chrome facility is a plus.

Work Environment
Work in a chemical plating and coating environment with tanks, barrels, and waste water treatment areas. The role is based in two buildings; one for production and waste water treatment, and the other for incoming shipping, receiving, and warehousing.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
