    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled sheet metal installer to join our team in the HVAC Heating and Cooling industry. The role involves fabricating and installing ductwork in new and renovated commercial buildings. You will work from blueprints, creating ductwork on-site and installing it according to construction documents, and lead teams on various commercial projects. The role requires travel to job sites up to 40 miles from Grand Rapids. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and a basic tool belt are needed, but assistance can be provided if necessary.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead crews on various commercial new construction jobs.

    + Install HVAC ductwork with precision and efficiency.

    + Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components for duct systems.

    + Read and interpret blueprints to guide installation processes.

    + Drive to various job sites in West Michigan for project assignments.

    Skills & Qualifications

    + 5+ years of HVAC installation experience in commercial settings.

    + Experience leading teams and/or running jobs.

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints.

    + Ability to troubleshoot issues on existing equipment.

    + Competence in using power and hand tools.

    Work Environment

     

    Work during the 1st shift, starting between 6am to 2/3pm with 8-9 hour shifts. You will need PPE including steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and a reflective vest. Work on construction-based projects at various job sites, collaborating with a team of 2-10 people.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
