Job Title: Level A Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Level A Maintenance Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing garbage trucks operating throughout the Central Kentucky area. Your expertise will ensure the efficient operation of these vehicles, contributing to a cleaner community.

Responsibilities

+ Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements on garbage trucks.

+ Conduct mechanical repairs on various equipment attached to garbage trucks.

+ Complete work orders efficiently and accurately.

+ Schedule and perform preventive maintenance (PM) on trucks to ensure their optimal performance.

+ Troubleshoot and address any electrical issues that may arise.

Essential Skills

+ 2-5 years of experience in diesel/heavy equipment maintenance.

+ Strong mechanical skills, particularly in auto repair.

+ Experience in electrical troubleshooting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Technical college degree or diesel mechanic certification is preferred.

+ Willingness to learn and adapt to working with garbage trucks.

Work Environment

The role is based in a well-maintained 5S environment in Lexington. Although the bays are clean, the nature of garbage truck maintenance can involve working with smelly and dirty vehicles. Embrace the challenge in a structured and organized setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
