    Job Title: Grinder Set Up Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Grinder Set Up Operator to handle machine operations with a reciprocating table and magnetic chucks. Responsibilities include performing semi-finish grinding operations using abrasive segments, setting up machines, detwisting, conducting in-process inspections, and deburring. The ideal candidate should have a strong aptitude for math and the ability to read precision instruments, drawings, and prints. Reliable attendance and transportation are essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate and set up grinding machines with reciprocating tables and magnetic chucks.

    + Perform semi-finish grinding operations using abrasive segments.

    + Conduct detwisting and in-process inspections.

    + Deburr finished products.

    + Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and precision instruments.

    + Perform quality checks using mics, calipers, and gauges.

    + Maintain a good attendance record.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of Blanchard grinding experience.

    + Ability to set up and run tools efficiently.

    + Proficient in reading blueprints and conducting quality checks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with crane and Hilo operations is beneficial.

    + Owning personal tools is advantageous.

    + Training will be provided if needed.

    Work Environment

     

    We are a leading supplier to industries globally, providing services such as machine ways & rails, shear knives, surface grinding, large CNC machining, machine knives, flame hardening, wear plates, and liners. Work hours for the 1st shift are Monday to Saturday, 6 am to 4 pm, and for the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 3:45 pm to 1:45 am.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, MI.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
