    Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

    Job Description

    As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for primarily mechanical repairs on equipment, including troubleshooting and repairing conveyor systems, mobile equipment such as forklifts and skid steers, and shredder machines. This position entails performing preventative maintenance on conveyor systems and mobile equipment, documenting all maintenance activities, and planning future repairs.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, including swapping out drives and 3-phase motors.

    + Perform maintenance on mobile equipment like forklifts and skid steers, including replacing hydraulic hoses and changing hydraulic cylinders.

    + Conduct light fabrication tasks on skid steers.

    + Change blades and augers on shredder machines.

    + Perform preventative maintenance (PM) activities, including visual inspections and documenting PMs.

    + Handle challenging tasks such as changing conveyor belts, swapping head pulleys, and changing bearings.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 4 years' experience in mechanic/industrial maintenance.

    + Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including swapping hoses and replacing o-rings.

    + Proficiency in performing PMs on equipment, checking fluid levels, greasing bearings, and changing belts.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to troubleshoot 480v 3-phase motors.

    + Experience with VFD and PLC troubleshooting.

    + Familiarity with repairing mobile equipment like cranes and forklifts.

    + Computer skills for documenting maintenance activities.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a dynamic metal recycling company specializing in Non-Ferrous metals. The facility is indoor/outdoor, requiring comfort with dusty, dirty, and loud conditions. The role is on the **3rd shift from 11pm-7am, Monday to Friday.** **Expect to work at least 45 hours a week with optional overtime.**

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
