Job Title: Construction General Laborer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to join our team for concrete and masonry construction projects. You will be responsible for a variety of manual labor tasks, ensuring the preparation and maintenance of construction sites.
Responsibilities
+ Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor in concrete and masonry construction projects.
+ Shovel concrete into the construction area.
+ Prepare surfaces for concrete.
+ Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
+ Handle and store materials efficiently.
+ Load and unload trucks, and haul and hoist materials as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with safety and incident reporting procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Some knowledge of the proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in concrete and masonry construction work.
+ Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
+ Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to the work schedule.
+ Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
+ Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
+ 1+ years of experience in general labor, concrete construction, and commercial construction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in equipment operation and blueprint reading.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, forms, and framing.
+ Ability to use a tape measure accurately.
+ OSHA 10 certification.

Work Environment
Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors, involving a variety of tasks in different weather conditions. Employees should be prepared to be on their feet for extended periods, walk on uneven terrain, and lift up to 75 lbs. Work will be performed in multiple departments, and employees are expected to wear steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses at all times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
