Job Title: Mill Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mill Machinist for a 1st shift position. The role involves milling details from plate or flat stock according to blueprints to exact dimensions, as well as milling details of various shapes and materials.
Responsibilities
+ Read and interpret blueprints.
+ Use measuring tools accurately.
+ Sharpen cutting tools as needed.
+ Perform own set-ups for milling operations.
+ Download and alter programs if necessary.
+ Machine material to print specifications.
+ Utilize overhead crane for material handling.
Essential Skills
+ 3 years of experience operating a 3-axis mill.
+ Ability to read digital micrometers and calipers.
+ Experience editing Haas/Fanuc controls to program.
+ Familiarity with G&M code editing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Programming experience is a plus.
+ Blueprint reading ability is desirable.

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean and modern shop built in 2018, equipped with new equipment. Employees have access to multiple cafes and a workout room on-site. The position involves working with 3 and 4-axis Haas mills and 3-axis lathes with live tooling, using both Haas and Fanuc controllers that utilize G&M codes. Various materials machined include Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Brass, Steel, and Hardened Steel.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
