    Job Title: Maintenance Millwright

    Job Description

    The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for performing all levels of repair and precision maintenance on a variety of equipment including conveyors, belting, compressors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and structures. This role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting problems, recommending and executing repairs, and making crucial machine and system adjustments. The position requires the ability to remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and verify the correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform precision maintenance on equipment such as conveyors, compressors, and motors.

    + Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, providing recommendations for repairs.

    + Modify and fabricate machine systems using techniques such as welding, cutting, and grinding.

    + Accurately document repair details in the company CMMS program, including cause, correction, and confirmation.

    + Test and verify the correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.

    + Utilize advanced knowledge in millwright duties and welding/fabrication techniques.

    Essential Skills

    + Advanced knowledge in millwright duties.

    + Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques (ARC, MIG).

    + Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles and applications.

    + Ability to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, and engineering drawings.

    + Use of precision measuring devices both metric and standard, including gauges, micrometers, and calipers.

    + Proficient mechanical aptitude with structures, metallurgy, and rotating assemblies.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) preferred.

    + Knowledge of heavy equipment use including Caterpillar, Volvo, and Komatsu.

    + Friction crane experience is a plus.

    + Ability to work all shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

    Work Environment

     

    This role involves working in an indoor/outdoor setting within the pulley-conveyor systems of the shipping and logistics industry. The environment demands flexibility with shifts and the ability to respond to call-outs as necessary.

    This is a Permanent position based out of New Orleans, LA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $85350.00/yr.
