Hiring High Level Electrical Journeyman & Foreman
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Electricians to lead our commercial electrical construction projects. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the project, from ordering materials to managing manpower and scheduling inspections. The foreman will also perform hands-on electrical work, ensuring that installations and repairs meet NEC standards. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as the foreman will supervise crews and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. A commitment to safety and quality is paramount, with regular safety inspections and adherence to electrical codes and construction practices.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee and manage commercial electrical construction projects.
+ Order materials and schedule inspections.
+ Perform hands-on electrical work, ensuring compliance with NEC standards.
+ Supervise and lead crews, serving as the primary point of contact for clients.
+ Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure adherence to electrical codes.
+ Plan layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
+ Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials and ensure compliance with local electrical codes.
+ Install system components and wiring in compliance with the NEC and NFPA.
+ Prepare sketches or follow diagrams or blueprints to ensure proper installation.
+ Cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using appropriate tools.
+ Pull and splice wiring through conduit and connect to control and distribution apparatus.
+ Test continuity of circuits and observe the functioning of installed equipment.
+ Repair faulty equipment or systems as needed.
+ Assess and adjust priorities to meet project requirements and objectives.
+ Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in electrician work and blueprint reading.
+ Proficiency in conduit bending, electrical conduit, and wiring.
+ Experience in commercial construction and troubleshooting.
+ Skill in pulling wire and running conduit.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to plan and execute layouts for wiring and equipment.
+ Experience with installing system components in compliance with NEC and NFPA standards.
+ Capability to prepare sketches and follow blueprints for installations.
+ Proficient in using testing instruments like ohmmeters and oscilloscopes.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
