Mobile Mechanic
Job Description
As a Mobile Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various mobile equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems, engine repairs, and overhauls. This role involves complete maintenance on forklifts, front-end loaders, manlifts, scissor lifts, electric carts, bobcats, and lawn equipment. You will troubleshoot propane and diesel engines, read and interpret blueprints, and utilize cutting torches and plasma cutters. Additionally, you will engage in hydraulic power transmission and pneumatic principles while performing maintenance and millwright duties during turnarounds or shutdowns as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mobile equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electrical systems.
+ Conduct engine repairs and overhauls.
+ Maintain forklifts, front-end loaders, manlifts, scissor lifts, electric carts, bobcats, and lawn equipment.
+ Troubleshoot propane and diesel engines.
+ Read and interpret blueprints.
+ Utilize cutting torches and plasma cutters.
+ Engage in hydraulic power transmission and pneumatic principles.
+ Perform maintenance/millwright duties during turnarounds or shutdowns.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in electrical troubleshooting and wiring.
+ Skills in mechanical repair and electronics.
+ Proficiency in preventative maintenance.
+ Forklift and heavy equipment maintenance expertise.
+ Hydraulics knowledge.
+ Welding skills.
+ Blueprint reading capability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with diesel engines.
+ Proficiency with cutting torches and plasma cutters.
+ Maintenance experience on production equipment in manufacturing or industrial settings.

This is a Permanent position based out of East Chicago, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $63107.20 - $69118.40/yr.
